Kort gezegd biedt de wet werkgevers de mogelijkheid om oudere werknemers tot een bepaald bedrag een ontslagvergoeding te geven, zonder dat daarover de RVU-heffing van 52% betaald hoeft te worden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Tarief naar 65% in 2028<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Op Prinsjesdag is bevestigd dat het tarief van de RVU-heffing wordt verhoogd de komende jaren. In 2026 gaat het tarief naar 57,7%, in 2027 naar 64% en in 2028 naar 65%. De verhoging is voorgesteld om de budgettaire derving van het in stand houden van de RVU-drempelvrijstelling voor deze jaren volledig te dekken. Verder is in de Prinsjesdag-plannen bepaald dat dit tarief jaarlijks wordt aangepast op basis van de contractloonontwikkelingsfactor. Ook is afgesproken dat de minister van Sociale Zaken en Werkgelegenheid het gebruik van de RVU monitort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Verhoging drempelbedrag<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Het kabinet wil ook de RVU toegankelijker maken voor werknemers met een laag inkomen of weinig aanvullend pensioen. Het voorstel is om het huidige drempelbedrag (in netto-termen gelijk aan een netto AOW-uitkering) te verhogen met \u20ac 300 bruto per maand.
