And according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mckinsey.com\/~\/media\/mckinsey\/business%20functions\/people%20and%20organizational%20performance\/our%20insights\/the%20great%20attrition%20is%20making%20hiring%20harder%20are%20you%20searching%20the%20right%20talent%20pools\/the-great-attrition-is-making-hiring-harder-vf.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">McKinsey study<\/a>, one of the top reasons people quit is lack of career development plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Attracting and retaining talent has become a significant challenge for employers, which makes it all the more imperative that employers find a way to keep employees energized and engaged. A highly effective solution? You can be present, if your time permits, however, it is always best for the manager to conduct this, as it has been <a href=\"https:\/\/hbr.org\/2022\/03\/effective-employee-development-starts-with-managers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">found<\/a> that they are uniquely positioned to drive engagement and performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">During the meeting, employees should be asked questions about their career goals, their anticipated future with the company or skills they feel would be useful in their current and future roles.
