There are circumstances in which an employer will consider it appropriate to remove a departing employee from the workplace immediately. For example, the employer may be concerned about an employee who is being paid in lieu of notice or placed on garden leave accessing confidential information. This may lead to the employee having to leave the workplace in a rush and the employer may have to arrange for their personal belongings to be collected or sent on later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
