But statistics show that some business sectors in the UK are lagging. One of these sectors is the financial services industry. According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ons.gov.uk\/employmentandlabourmarket\/peopleinwork\/earningsandworkinghours\/bulletins\/genderpaygapintheuk\/2023\">ONS Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings<\/a>, the average gender pay gap in the financial services industry is 27.9%.
