When to include

Minnesota employers that provide an employee handbook are required by law to include in the handbook a notice of employee rights and remedies under the lactation and pregnancy accommodation law. The state provides the standard language that must be included in the notice. Employers can fulfill this legal requirement by adding the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry’s Nursing Mothers, Lactating Employees, and Pregnancy Accommodations employee notice as an addendum to their handbook.
