When to include
Ohio employers wishing to limit or prohibit weapons in the workplace should strongly consider including this statement in their handbook. Employers should also consider including this statement in their handbook to prevent workplace violence, to inform employees that weapons will not be permitted inside the workplace and to show their compliance with Ohio’s weapons in the workplace law that gives employees with a concealed handgun license the right to transport and store firearms in their personal vehicles in a company parking lot.
