This model letter helps employers confirm a change to an employee’s contract terms where there is a clear contractual right to make the change, ensuring the variation is communicated clearly and lawfully.
When to use this model variation of contract letter
Use this model letter to confirm that a change is being made to a term in the employee’s contract of employment, where there is a contractual right to make that change. This letter has been updated to take account of the statutory code of practice on dismissal and re-engagement in effect from 18 July 2024.
